Building community through storytelling, art, and shared experience!

One City, Many Voices

Connecting Cincinnati is a transformative, community-led art initiative that uses personal photos and short audio stories to celebrate individual strength and build connection across neighborhoods. Through storytelling, we are bridging divides and amplifying voices that are too often overlooked.

Our region is filled with vibrant communities, but many remain disconnected both physically and socially because of longstanding systemic barriers. At the same time, there are few accessible platforms where residents can shape how their neighborhoods are seen and understood.

Meet our neighbor, Barbara Manuel, shown below in the mural, and listen to her story here.

With your support, Connecting Cincinnati can grow into a powerful movement for connection, creativity, and community pride—one neighbor, one story at a time.

Thank you to our partners: the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Community Matters, Urban Hikers Cincy, Robert O’Neal Multicultural Arts Center, the Urban Appalachian Community Coalition, Eye of the Artist Foundation, Clifton Cultural Arts Center, and many others.

We are especially grateful to our funders: ArtsWave, the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation, Interact for Health, United Way, and generous supporters like you.
